Säästva maakasutuse suunas Euroopas

Euroopa teadusprojekti "Säästva maakasutuse suunas kliimamuutuste ja bioloogilise mitmekesisuse kontekstis Euroopas" (lühendatult: Europe-LAND) eesmärk on töötada välja, katsetada ja rakendada integreeritud vahendeid, mis võivad parandada meie arusaamist teguritest, mis mõjutavad maakasutuse otsuseid Euroopas. Lisaks sellele on Europe-LANDi eesmärk uurida põllumajanduse ja maakasutuse sidusrühmade teadlikkust ja kaasatust seoses kliimamuutuste ja bioloogilise mitmekesisusega seotud probleemidega. Meie konsortsium püüab laiendada teadmistebaasi selle kohta, kuidas saab mõjutada maakasutuse otsuseid, et tõhusalt ja sotsiaalselt vastutustundlikult toetada selliseid poliitilisi eesmärke nagu kliimamuutuste leevendamine ja nendega kohanemine ning bioloogilise mitmekesisuse säilitamine. Lõpuks mobiliseerib meie levitamistegevus meie sidusrühmi (nt maakasutajad, kohalikud, piirkondlikud ja riiklikud asutused, poliitikakujundajad, reguleerivad asutused jne), tagades projekti tulemuste sujuva ja tõhusa teadmussiirde meie sihtrühmadele.
