Along with MOSAIC and PLUS Change, the Europe-LAND team is pleased to invite you to the 2nd Science-EU Policy Dialogue, an online event on 29 April, 2025 from 09:30-12:00 CEST. Registration is now open εδώ!
Changes in land use are a driving force behind climate change, biodiversity loss, and food security challenges. To address these complex issues, this dialogue will provide a unique cross-sectoral opportunity for EU policy officers, land-use researchers, and Horizon Europe project leaders alike to connect, exchange ideas, and co-create approaches to sustainable land-use across Europe. Hoping to build pathways to beneficial outcomes, the dialogue will showcase research contributions aligned with EU policy objectives, examine how current research can shape future policy, encourage interactive discussion, and strengthen synergies between stakeholders.
During this event, we are excited to host an excellent team of experts including:
- Dr. Frankziska Wolf (Europe-LAND, HAW Hamburg)
- Prof. Dr. Julia Leventon (PLUS Change)
- Dieter Cuypers (MOSAIC)
- Dr. Karen Fabbri (Deputy Head, Science Division for Policy Advice, Consultancy and Ethics)
- Claire Brown (Policy Officer, UNEP-WCMC)
- Linde Zuidema (European Environment Agency)
- Prof. Joanna Ejdys & Dr. Joanna Godlewska (Europe-LAND, Bialistok University, Poland)
- Kimberley Major (PLUS Change)
- Prof. Nikolaos Theodosiou (Europe-LAND, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece)
While all who are interested are welcome, this event is especially relevant for EU policy officers working on land-use, climate, environment, and sustainability, Horizon Europe and other EU-funded projects addressing related challenges, and science-policy makers seeking collaboration.
Together, we will explore how land-use-related research can inform policies and actions that lead to a more sustainable Europe. We hope you will join us and register today!
