Meet the Partners: University of CoimbraUniversity of Bologna

The team is composed of Dr. Genc Alimehmeti, Prof. Eleonora Monaco, Prof. Angelo Paletta, Prof. Elisabetta Carfagna, Dr. Francesca Regoli, and Ph.D. student Besjon Tanuzi. They are located at the at the Department of Management and Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Bologna (UNIBO, Italy) lead by Prof. Angelo Paletta. Together, they bring a wide range of expertise in education, sustainable business models, public policy, digital learning, and impact assessment. Their interdisciplinary approach ensures strong alignment between the academic strengths of the department and the broader objectives of the Europe LAND project. 

Within the Europe LAND project, the UNIBO team leads Task 6.4 – Development of the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), playing a central role in the project’s capacity-building and knowledge dissemination strategy. The team contributes to designing the MOOC structure, coordinating the content development across all partner institutions, and ensuring that the online course integrates the project’s key findings into an accessible, practice-oriented learning experience. 

The MOOC is an interactive platform that provides insights into European land management and its evolution, the policy frameworks shaping land use, practical examples of sustainable strategies, and the links between land, the environment, and society.
