First Evidence from the EuropeLAND Case Studies in Austria and Romania
Our 15th webinar introduces agent-based models (ABMs) and their potential to analyze complex land-use and socio-ecological systems.
The BOKU team will first provide a brief introduction to agent-based modelling and its key principles. The presentation will then focus on the SECLAND ABM, illustrating how actors such as farmers and land managers make decisions and interact with their socio-ecological environment. Key results from simulations of the EuropeLAND case studies in Austria and Romania will showcase the diversity of land-use dynamics that the SECLAND ABM can represent. Ample time will be reserved for questions, discussion, and feedback on the model and the case-study findings.
