After the end of summer, the Europe-LAND consortium is starting its national-level stakeholder dialogue format almost simultaneously in its 12 European partner countries. Selected stakeholders from the fields of land use and land management, from ministries, authorities, research institutions, professional associations and non-governmental organizations will be invited in each country to attend to ensure a balanced audience. Due to the focus of the project, Europe-LAND hereby concentrates its research efforts on the agriculture, forestry and nature conservation sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this interactive format \u2013 depending on the country organized virtually or in presence – , the national Europe-LAND partner will provide current scientific insights about the significance and influence of changing land use patterns on advancing climate change and present future scenarios. Together with the stakeholders, our national teams seek to discuss what opportunities, but also obstacles, exist and how land use can be made sustainable. Our aim is to exchange ideas and solutions in a joint dialogue on how to counteract the effects of advancing climate change and the decline in biodiversity. The results from this inter-European action will feed into a comparative analysis in the end which will be publicly accessible via the project website and the Europe-LAND ZENODO open access repository.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
