A virtual tour of the Europe-LAND Toolbox and a look at EU land policies over time
Our 16th webinar is primarily aimed at policymakers and decision-makers at the local and EU levels, as well as stakeholders in the field of land-use.
In this webinar, Prof. Nikolaos Theodosiou from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece will discuss the key deliverable of our Horizon Europe project – the EuropeLAND Toolbox. It was designed to support evidence-based land-use decision-making. It brings together a wide range of geospatial datasets from trusted sources such as Copernicus, CORINE, the European Environment Agency (EEA), and Eurostat. The current state of the toolbox will be showcased, followed by a virtual tour of selected applications and use cases that are particularly interesting for policy-makers.
This time, the webinar is aimed at decision- and policy-makers in the field of land use, from the local to the EU level. This includes farmers, foresters, and NGOs that manage nature reserves, as well as government officials – including those at the EU level – who are interested in how current and future land use can be visualized in an integrated manner and analyzed in a user-friendly way, taking into account climate change and biodiversity considerations.
