{"id":2865,"date":"2026-09-09T11:15:31","date_gmt":"2026-09-09T09:15:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/europe-land.eu\/?p=2865"},"modified":"2026-09-18T11:21:46","modified_gmt":"2026-09-18T09:21:46","slug":"meet-the-partners-leibniz-institute-of-agricultural-development-in-transition-economies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/europe-land.eu\/lv\/news\/meet-the-partners-leibniz-institute-of-agricultural-development-in-transition-economies\/","title":{"rendered":"Meet the Partners:  Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How can Europe\u2019s rich agricultural data help us better understand land-use change?<br><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team from <strong>Leibnica Lauksaimniec\u012bbas att\u012bst\u012bbas p\u0101rejas ekonomikas valst\u012bs instit\u016bts (IAMO)<\/strong>, consisting of <strong>Professor Dr. Daniel M\u00fcller<\/strong>, Deputy Head of Department Structural Change, and <strong>Clemens J\u00e4nicke<\/strong>, Research Associate of the Department Structural Change, brings a data-driven perspective to understanding land-use change across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Within Europe-LAND, IAMO contributes to Work Package Two by developing a European <strong>IACS (Integrated Administration and Control System) data repository<\/strong> that brings together, harmonizes, and documents spatially detailed agricultural data from EU Member States. The Harmonized IACS Inventory currently covers up to 18 years of field-level data from 20 EU member states, including information on land use, crops, farms and organic farming. By making these data more accessible and comparable across countries, Europe-LAND provides a valuable basis for research on agricultural land-use and land-use change and supports better evidence for European land-use policies.
